SLOW SUNDAY

A day of reconnecting with oneself, others and Nature

Slow Toki, the place where we take our time" in Anglo-Basque, is an authentic guesthouse located in the countryside, in Bidache, a stone's throw from the village where I grew up, Bardos. It is an eco-responsible place of life run by Manu and Lionel, two beautiful people with whom I share the values of Slow Life, joie de vivre, reconnection with Nature and respect for the environment.

What is it about

The day's program varies according to the seasons and the energies of the moment.

A Slow Sunday usually starts at 10am with a yoga class.

In spring and summer, the yoga session takes place on the wooden terrace at the bottom of the garden, surrounded by Nature.

In autumn and winter, the session takes place in the guest house's bright yoga shala.

Around noon, it’s time for Slow Brunch!

A vegetarian brunch (sweet, savory, fresh fruit, homemade fruit juice and infusion) lovingly prepared by Lionel and Manu, with seasonal fruits and vegetables, from the vegetable garden and local products. All in a zero waste approach.

After brunch, weather permitting, I suggest a short walk to the river where we can cool off.

The Brunch can also be followed by workshops. The last workshop we did was a seasonal culinary workshop, guided by Lionel.
